Our Student Spring Scissors are surgical instruments for making small, precision cuts. They are 9.5cm long, and fit comfortably into your hand. These have blunt tips or sharp/ball tips, which adds a little protection against surrounding tissue damage. For example, if you need to avoid nipping blood vessels or nerves in tight spaces, a blunt pair of surgical scissors may be your answer. The pair with one pointed tip and one ball tip (often called Metzenbaum spring scissors) gives you sharp, precise cuts and adds the safety of the ball tip to protect surrounding tissues. These scissors are often preferred by inexperienced surgeons and students. The spring mechanism that allows for smooth, precise cutting action, which reduces the risk of tissue damage or trauma. The spring scissors also help to mitigate hand fatigue, because they spring back naturally after you make your cut. Choose either straight or curved for the 6mm blade.
